SUSTAINABILITY
OUR SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY
Serigrafica Carpigiana’s sustainability strategy is the result of a path and a model of awareness and innovation followed for many years, now more relevant than ever to work respecting the environment and the territory that hosts us.

OUR CHOICES
Energy efficiency and renewable technologies.
Energy efficiency involves a series of operations aimed at optimizing the use of energy sources.
Below are the main interventions carried out in our facility that have allowed us to harmonize the relationship between energy consumption and pollutant emissions:
SUNPOWER PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSATEM
A 120.78 KW system installed on the existing roof (completed in 2023 ) enables us to self-produce part of the daily energy needs. Any energy purchased from grid comes entirely from renewable sources.
INSULATION OF THE ROOF COVERING
Using a glass mineral felt with a nominal thickness of 18 cm, density of 12 kg/m3 , and fire reaction class A1 (implemented in 2023 ).
LED LIGHTING SYSTEM
130 Philps LED lights ( implemented in 2019 ), providing high-quality lighting and a significant reduction in energy and maintenance costs.

ICEA CERTIFICATION( ICEA-TX-2520)
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading global standard for the production of organic fibers. As a certified company, Serigrafica Carpigiana ensures full compliance with the ecological and social criteria set by certification, as well as chemical standard and raw material traceability systems in every production.
Health and safety
To protect the health and safety of our operatos, the facility is equipped with an environmental extraction system and multiple fume hoods forVolatic Organic Compounds (VOCs).).
Chemicals are stored in dedicated areas with appropriate containment tanks and spill kits.
Continuing Education
All operations undergo continuous training programs on safety and the prevention of specific company-related risks.
The importance of a photovoltaic system
In 2023, Serigrafica Carpigiana initiated and completed an extensive and important energy efficiency project,
the reduction of greenhouse gases and the production of energy from renewable sources.
The work carried out consisted first of all in the renovation and insulation of the entire roof of the building, a surface area
total of 1,536 square metres today as follows:
- he structure of the roof covering, double fir wood frame fixed on the rough floor slab and surrounded by glass wool mineral feltwith a nominal thickness of 18 cm and Class 1 reaction to fire;
- to cover the rough floor slab and the thermal insulation, were laid hot-dip galvanised steel corrugated metal sheets.
Finally, on a specific portion of the new roof (about 600.00 square metres), a photovoltaic system having the following main characteristics:
- No. 244 photovoltaic panels (495 Wp each) approved for Class 1 fire reaction;
- No. 1 inverter;
- No. 1 QCA;
- No. 1 QCC;
– system output 120.78 kWp.
